PostHeaderIcon Babies be swaddled

Why babies be swaddled?

There are various reasons known why babies are swaddled in developed countries (on grounds of developing countries, where there are some other techniques should not be discussed here):

Because swaddled babies sleep better than most ungepuckte babies. Swaddling soothes newborns. New research shows that swaddled babies sleep better and wake up less often spontaneous, with longer REM sleep. You wake up less frequently by stimulation on the outside of

Because swaddled babies have a lower risk of dying of sudden infant death, because they sleep more and are therefore not of the parents placed in the prone position in bed.
Because swaddled babies wake up less often by the Moro reflex (uncontrolled arm movements).

at the duration of crying babies cry on average significantly reduced. Weil

To make the transition to the baby from the womb into the world gently.

Spitting is also often used for restless babies and cry babies. This can thus usually sleep better, and are consequently more rested and less screaming. Many babies cry because of fatigue / lack of sleep, so you can cry babies in swaddling be very successful.

Breathing, as it is now used in developed countries is never a technique by which a baby should be confined or restrained, but a technique that helps ensure that the baby feels comfortable.

Is not that cruel?

No, because it is the spitting not about making a baby unable to move. It’s much more about him to create a similar environment as those that are 9 months in the womb was used to, namely a tightly bounded space. A swaddled baby is similar to much or little freedom of movement as a baby in a sling, and probably no one would ask today, if a sling is not cruel.

Anyone who has observed how a restless or crying baby who is swaddled, settled down in less than a minute and happy to sleep, having not previously been half an hour or more could be found in the bedroom will realize with astonishment that our adult sensations may not always translate directly to our babies.  Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Dealing with anger learn

Rage

Feelings are often divided into negative and positive, but every feeling has its necessity, then the anger the force that makes us stands up for us. It is our drive for freedom and self-preservation.

Small children have no inhibitions to express their feelings spontaneously and that cry of joy or anger, they are seldom last long. With the growth of the children have to learn to express your feelings in a social context, and to guide them constructively.

The question they must ask yourself is how your child can later deal with the anger as an adult should. And as so often in life, it is the mix that makes it: If someone is treated badly, he must be able to defend them, however loudly and forcefully – and in good time before he goes on a rampage, or even be violent. Anger and violence is not the same way: violence is misdirected anger.

If a child too little anger, it may be regarded as a weakling and bullied by other children or even exploited.
